My name is Sukriti and I am a Grade 12 student at The Riverside school, Ahmedabad.

I have initiated this campaign to proliferate awareness about differently abled children and young adults who are treated as taboos and greated with derision. The cause of such kind of behaviour with them, is simply because they differ from the socitial norms and are unable to integrate their unique ways into the community. If everyone ends up becoming the regular and the same kind of people, then the word identity would become meaningless. All they need is our love, support and encouragement for therapy and skill training to become independent and confident.

I want to give them a helping hand that could completely transform their lives, and was delighted to know that the NGO Prabhat does work to help such young adults. The best part about this, is that it only takes INR 12500 for a year to change a life and give someone hope. Please fund my campaign as a simple act of kindness and empathy. Your funds will give a child education, an easier life and a purpose ahead.

As an individual, I’m trying to raise INR 25000 to uplift two children/young adults. If I raise more funds, together, we could impact so many more such lives. Once the campaign is completed the NGO will give feedback on the beneficiaries. In situations where parents are uncomfortable to share an image of their son/daughter, we will utilize and AVATAR. I hope you understand that sensitivity in sharing that information.
