I am Vanshika Khetan, a 10th grade student at The Riverside school, Ahmedabad.

It takes time, but sooner or later there will be a point in everyone’s life where they will understand how privileged and blessed they are. It took time for me also, but I have understood the fact that it was just pure luck that I am born in a pretty rich family where I don’t have to worry about my next meal or worry about being bullied, cz I have all that I need in life. It was just a matter of chance, that someone else was born disabled and in a poor family, but they also are humans and deserve the same respect as any other human. Disabled people through tons of hardship on a daily basis, from being bullied, to not being able to achieve their dreams because they are poor or suppressed by the society. Its time that we do something about it instead of just showing plain sympathy towards them.

So I came across the fact that for an NGO called Prabhat it only takes 12,500 per annum to change the life of one differently abled. As an individual, I am trying to raise INR 25000 to impact 2 children/young adults. If I collect more funds we can transform the lives of more such children and young adults. By helping us raise this money for them you are not only helping with their therapy but they will also feel more confident about themselves and will be able to achieve their dreams. Before taking the decision, just try putting yourself in their shoe and imagine how you would feel if you were them and were looked upon as nothing but dirt.

So please fund my campaign to impact lives of these kids. They will get education,therapy,hope,happiness and more confidence! The NGO will give us feedback on the children after the campaign is complete.
